Dawggie Go Pak is one of those great ideas, and I agree with Carol Bryant, that you wonder why you didn’t think of it! How many times have you wanted to just pick up the leash and go – not double check for keys, phone, poop bags, treats, maybe money for coffee? There are days when you don’t have enough pockets to bring what you need. Here’s a product that offers an organized solution to bulging pockets. You might think this is too cute for guys, but they have plain, no decoration dawggie go paks, too!
Pet products reviewsites help you keep up with all the amazing choices available and find great deals on some items you thought were too expensive – free shipping can change your mind, but hearing about gifts under $30 can make your day, especially around the holidays! Your party-giving friends with dogs, the neighbor who brings you good things to eat every year, and your favorite dog walker/pet sitter can suddenly be added to your holiday gifts list when the price is just right.
Carol Bryant, writer, PR and social media director of FIDO Friendly and author of Fidose of Reality stopped in to ease us into the holiday mode.
Pet Products Review Unwraps Holiday Contests
There are some wonderful small yet thoughtful holiday gifts for pets in this pet products review, one of which is under $10 – the pet safety Wag N Enterprises dog bandana. What is so great about a bandana that it rates as a gift? It has instructions printed on it for all kinds of emergency situations like what to do to stop a cut from bleeding, what to do in case of snake bite – even CPR instructions; a thoughtful gift and very handy item to have in any emergency.
The Neat Receipts is not for your pet, but can be used to scan into your computer and keep track of all those vet bills, food orders, treat and toy purchases. All those little bits of paper that tell you how much you’ve spent over the last year can be organized into categories so you can see in black and white columns what you’ve spent beyond the usual. Then you’ll probably need Bach’s calming flower essences to stop the heart palpitations=)
The contests available now and coming up are truly holiday worthy. Here’s a case where the pet products review found some presents waiting to be unwrapped even before the tree went up. Morton Salt is giving away a $500 ad campaign to two different bloggers, Fidose of Reality and FIDO Friendly are both giving away a wonderful package of items for winter needs and will include the pet safe Morton Salt de-icer. Fidose of Reality has gone doggone wild and has a second contest for a 3D ID tag and a third, which is a photo contest. But wait, there’s more! Dancing Dog Blog also has a contest coming up from Mountain Dog for the Amazing Versatile Leash that can be configured for hands-free convenience or you can walk two dogs with it. You’ll find out more when I write it up the pet product review next week! You might also want to review the Pet Products Review September and Pet Products Review October for more gift ideas. In the meantime – find out how you can win something great for yourself or as a gift and listen to our chat!
Pet products review last month mentioned that we could almost hear the crunch of leaves underfoot; this month all the leaves are on the ground (Tashi is certain I arranged it just for him). I hate to say it, but winter and the holidays are just around the corner. With that in mind, Carol Bryant of FIDO Friendly came by with some out of the ordinary picks for now, and the days to come.
ZuZuka rolling carriers – a new-to-me product useful for many dog-related activities, and Bowser’s wide array of pet products were reviewed from high density foam stairs to help elderly pets, to pillows and beds. Throvers’ convenient protection pad for your sofa, bed, and car from Crypton Fabrics offered added uses beyond pets, and for more value, there’s Pets R Loved which carries custom embroidery for pillows, towels, sheets, Christmas stockings and other items available from this uncommonly artful entrepreneur. The pet products review this month at Animal Cafe with FIDO Friendly Magazine’s Carol Bryant looks ahead to Fall. It’s not that far away. You can almost hear the crunch of leaves as we ready our dogs for a virtual walk through the items we discuss on the podcast below.
We have eight product picks for you this month, one of which makes walking a more comfortable bug-free event for your dog! But Fall brings with it opportunites for hiking in the woods or forest preserves, watching the leaves change, and if you’re going to walk through the forest for any length of time, you’ve got to be prepared. We all think about water and some treats, the best method to carry the items you’ll need to keep your dog comfortable and safe, maybe even taking a leap to think about making it easier and less stressful on your dog to get in and out of your vehicle.
But first things first, we begin with the deet-free natural ingredients of Earth Heart’s Buzzguard insect repellant. I have had excellent results with this kind of product, and Carol has used Buzzguard for two trouble-free months . We both like the idea of a deet-free product for dogs and since the weather this year has promoted record numbers of bugs, this is handy to keep in your cupboard. (The ingredients are water, polysorbate 20, neem seed oil and essential oils of citronella, fir, and geranium, rosewood, basil, myhrr, and potassium sorbate.)
I won’t go through each item (there are hints in the podcast description to help you) – you’ll have to listen to the podcast – but the Fall theme lends visions of bales of hay, corn stalks and changing seasons, but also covers a stage of life when pets are getting a little older and begin to need some assistance, like getting in and out of the car easily. Enjoy!
