If you’re looking for a crate that can provide comfort for your pet while still being exceptionally functional, the Midwest Life Stages Double Door Folding Crate may be the solution for you.
Available in a variety of different sizes, there is an option that will work for any size dog, no matter how big or small. The crate can be used for cats as well.
My Experience with the Midwest Life Stages Double Door Folding Crate
My mother has one of these crates in which her cat Sunshine sleeps at night. She has arranged her crate so that one of the doors is left open and Sunshine’s covered litter box occupies the space in front of that open door, giving Sunshine room to stretch out in her crate and still have a full-sized litter box available to her as well. This is an arrangement that has worked out very well for them. And with the addition of the Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed lining the bottom of the carrier, it makes a comfortable place for Sunshine to sleep.
In the veterinary hospital where I work, we also have a large sized carrier which we keep as a spare crate. For us, it works well because it gives us extra cage space but still folds up neatly and easily so that when it is not in use, it occupies very little space. For this reason, it would also be very handy in a small apartment or for use transporting animals in the car also. It can be reassembled quickly and easily when it is needed but still be stored just as quickly and easily when not needed.
Features of the Midwest Life Stages Double Door Folding Crate
This crate has several other features that make it quite convenient to use also. It has two doors, one on the side and one in front, which makes it much easier to access both the carrier itself and the pet inside. As noted already, it folds away into a very small space for storage when not in use. It is made of a durable metal and is reasonably sturdy, although perhaps not as much so as some of the other carriers and crates available. Still, it is study enough to work well for most pets.
The crate is also easy to keep clean and features a pan at the bottom of the crate which is removable to make cleaning easier as well.
There is also a divider that can be placed in the cage to make the cage space smaller when necessary. This is an attractive option for growing puppies and allows for the purchase of a crate that will be big enough for the puppy when full-grown but still limits the cage space available to the puppy to discourage him from urinating in one part of the crate and sleeping in another.
