American Animal Hospital Association Veterinary Care

American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the sole organization in North America to accredit veterinary practices. The AAHA mission is three-fold:

  1. Enhance the abilities of veterinarians to provide quality medical care to companion animals
  2. Enable veterinarians to successfully conduct their practices and maintain their facilities with high standards of excellence
  3. Meet the public’s needs as they relate to the delivery of small animal veterinary medicine

Standards of Care

Each accredited hospital is regularly evaluated on “approximately 900 quality of care standards.” Pets are part of the family. People will often sacrifice to get the best care possible for their furry family members.

Veterinary care is a hot topic here. Since we have recently underscored how regular vet visits are essential to healthy pets and their quality of life, we thought it might be helpful to show you what a great medical clinic looks like!

Steve Dale gives us a tour of one of the American Animal Hospital Association accredited veterinary care clinics, St Cloud Veterinary Center. Visit AAHA at HealthyPet to find an approved veterinary hospital near you.

This was a really interesting article about the American Animal Hospital Association Veterinary Care. My sister has been wanting to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. I will have to show this to her and see what she thinks. I am sure she will be really interested in learning more!
