Fifty years after his manga debut, the time-traveling robotic cat now has his first official shop, fashioned vaguely after a 20th-century European department store. As you'd expect, it's jam-packed with Doraemon character goods, many of them exclusive to this location. There are plush toys and figurines, coffee mugs and bento boxes, piggy banks and stationery supplies, plus a whole wall of DVD and comic book collections.

The mysterious-sounding Secret Gadget Lab is actually just a room housing four specialized arcade games. They have Doraemon-related themes like "Anywhere Door" and "Air Cannon," and they're playable for a small fee of around Y350 per game. There's also a "post office" where you can send postcards, and a customization window where you can get your name engraved on a souvenir key ring.

Outside the mall is an installation called Doraemon Time Square - a large mechanical clock where you can watch performances of the Doraemon cartoon theme song. Shows start every hour on the hour, from 10am-11pm. Next to the clock are benches occupied by life-size models of Doraemon, Nobita, and Shizuka, ready to join you in photos.
