Aimed primarily at younger visitors, the focus here is on basic science and technology, with lots of hands-on exhibits, although many of them look like they were put together a few decades ago. Driving simulators in the Waku Eco Motor Land section are quite popular, and the Denki Factory lets visitors generate electricity by pedaling a bicycle.

Electro Hall explains the science of auroras, and is one of the most visually interesting parts of the museum, along with two sections on the fifth floor that explore optical illusions. The room devoted to the history of bicycles is also worth a look.

There aren't many English-language explanations attached to the exhibits, so the Y200 bilingual guidebook might be a good investment.
